I love June weddings! the weather is beautiful… there is a slight summer breeze… and love is always in the air!!! LOL!!! Todd and Raquel celebrated their wedding day on an absolutely perfect day in June. The absolute perfect June wedding!!! Todd and Raquel celebrated their special day at the Wedgewood Banquet hall at Indian Hills Golf Course in Riverside (boy, that was a mouth-full… haha!).
The sun was shining, the breeze was going… and Raquel was one of the most relaxed and laid-back brides I have EVER encountered in 5 years!!! LOL!!! I love you Raquel – so calm, so laid back, so care-free. She truly decided to not stress out at all that day…. whatever she needed to stress about was already planned out – and nothing was going to ruin her magical day. I LOVE that about her! I’m not kidding… weddings can be very stressful… and although I do meet brides that don’t stress too much – those are few and far between. It is sooooo much more common for a bride to suddenly break a sweat because of her flowers, or her hair, or the bridal party (or her family… lol!) – that’s common to me… I know how to handle that. I’ve been told that I need to open up a wedding counceling hot line! LOL!! I’ve been called the ‘Bride Whisperer’ … Not kidding!!! – but that’s an entirely new post all together (yes… I’m working on a post about stress-free weddings). Anywho. Raquel was so laid back that I felt a little strange not having to reassure her about anything at all that day.
I can see how Todd and Raquel make such an absolutely perfect couple. Todd is such a sweet and shy person… and Raquel is so energetic – love them together soooooo much!!!! They totally balance each other out so perfectly.
Raquel and Todd- you guys are so perfect … I loved sharing and capturing these moments for you!!! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your totally peaceful and magical day!

I love my couples… I know I always say that. But this couple is particularly close to my heart. I don’t even know why, but I feel like I’m one of Evy’s friends! lol! When I first met Evy and Andrew I knew they were fun and in love. When I did their engagement session I knew they were stylish and fabulous! Then I did Evy’s super sweet Boudoir Session (no… I will not be posting those pics – but trust me, they were ultra fab! lol!). During that session I got to meet some of Evy’s sisters and friends too – so by the time the wedding rolled around last month I felt like I was part of the family! haha! Yeah… I’m like their long lost 3rd cousin… lol!
Anyways… Evy and Andrew had their amazing wedding ceremony at the Calvary Chapel in Chino Hills an their ultra fab wedding reception at the absolutely gorgeous Kellogg House in Pomona. Evy put so much care and effort into planning every little aspect of her wedding – check out her absolutely fab details… ohhhhh I was drooling over her her flowers!!! Yes… I know- I totally over did it with the detail pictures, I just couldn’t help myself… haha! I had to literally pull myself away to stop taking pics of all of the fabulous little touches.
It was such an absolutely beautiful day, and an amazing wedding… and I feel so honored to have been able to capture such amazing moments for Evy and Andrew. Thank you guys- you guys absolutely rock!!!!

I love meeting the most amazing, loving, and fabulous couples … EVER. What makes them so fabulous? Well… they love to laugh, they love to have fun, they love AND adore each other, and they truly love their families! Erica and Kyle are so sweet and so kind (and so in love!)… and they have super cool (and incredibly adorable) baby boy! Ok… I’m gonna say it – I loved their little guy!!!!! I saw him and just wanted to pick him up and just hug him (forget pictures… right?! LOL!) He reminds me so much of my little boy.. shy, sweet, and ever so innocent! I had to physically try my hardest not to take a million pictures of him! haha!
so… besides an adorable little boy… they also have an amazing family and group of friends! Everyone had soooo much fun… the drinks were flowing, the music was pumping, and everyone was just dancing the night away! I love my job!! LOL!!!
They had their oh So Fab Wedding at the Crestmore Manor in Riverside.

A couple of months ago I had a blast during Erika and Rene’s fabulous engagement session… they were fun, giggly, and ultra-fun! So I KNEW they would have an awesome wedding! Erika is such a sweet girl… just one of the nicest souls one could ever hope to meet. Rene is also a nice guy, of course, but he is such a funny man! He loves to laugh and be silly – I think he does it to see Erika’s smile… and boy does she smile bright when he’s silly!!! Her smile and laugh are filled with love for Rene – and it’s just adorable to see them together.
Erika and Rene had a very intimate wedding at the Moreno Valley Ranch Community Association – a very cute and intimate club-house style location.
One of my fav thigs about Erika’s wedding was her gorgeous dress – it was completely custom-designed and made just for her! she looked absolutely gorgeous and she totally knew how to rock it out!
Rene and Erika – thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a special day in your lives! and thank you for having so much fun, laughing so much, and for just being yourselves!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever been to… the music was bumpin’ and the guest were dancing up a storm!!! … I’ll get to that in a sec.
First… let me tell you a little bit about Tim and Shernae – one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met!!! When I met Shernae one of the first things she told me was that although Tim loves pictures, she didn’t like taking pictures. AT ALL. She is so uncomfortable with pictures that she didn’t want to do an engement session at all… and Tim loves her so much that he wanted her to be happy (is that the cutest thing ever?!?!).
Tim is such a sweet person… he was so excited to be marrying the love of his life – you could see this peaceful love and happiness in his eyes!!!
Sharnae was absolutely breathtaking!!! Seriosly. Beutiful. She was definitely shy … but it was so endearing to watch her be so shy and sweet!
Both of them were just so at peace with each other… they had this amazingly calming love about them.
Now… their reception… a total blast! I love being at weddings where absolutely every guest is truly enjoying themselves. Everyone was laughing… dancing… drinkin’… just having fun!!! That kind of happiness is just contagious! It took all of my energy to not jump in the dance floor and make a fool of myself!!! LOL!!!

So in love!!!

LOVED their bridal party... so energetic and fun!

First dance and father-daughter dance

Let the party begin!!!! Check out the bride just rockin' out!!!

Friday felt just like Christmas to me…. I came home to find a bunch of neatly arranged boxes outside my front door! (you gotta admit we all love to get visits from UPS or FedEx … even if they were all things that we purchased ourselves, so technically they are not ‘gifts’… but it’s awesome to finally receive what you ordered online!). Have you ever waited for something so anxiously that once the delivery guy/gal comes by to drop it off, you just want to jump up and down, give them a big hug, a big kiss, and a big cookie!!! That was me on Friday
Well… among the packages that were delivered to my front door on Friday, was my bran-spankn’ new totally fab new lens: the Canon 50mm 1.2!!!! This deserved a happy dance with an extra dose of happy!!!! LOL!!!! I have been soooo excited about this lens… I couldn’t wait to see the buttery goodness that makes this lens ‘oh so absolutely fab’ - and to make things even more fun, I got it just in time for my Saturday wedding!
So I know I don’t usually post sneak-peaks… but why not start now? Right? So here’s a little sneak peak of the buttery goodness that IS the 50 1.2! J
This lens definitely deserves a ‘woop-wooop… OH SO FAB!!!’
Jill… your wedding rocked, and you looked amazing (wind and all!!! LOL!!!). I’ll make sure to blog the rest of the wedding in a few weeks too. (check out that buttery background…. LOVE my new lens!!!)

Jill looked absolutely fab even though the winds were insane!!

So I’m typically not a mushy-mushy person… I don’t sit around watching romance flicks wishing my life was just as romanic … (ok… maybe I do a little bit! LOL! – I guess that’s why my hubby hates watching them with me- he knows I’m about to tun around at any second and ask him why he can’t sweep me off my feet and take me to eternal happiness riding on a white horse!! haha!).
I do, however, feel extremely blessed to have a wonderful loving family to share my life with… I KNOW how precious life is, and I know how important it is to share it with those that you love the most. I think that’s why I love doing what I do – I love coming into people’s lives when they’re being blessed with so much love and joy!
It really is such a beautiful moment to see the look of absolute and sincere love that the groom and bride have for each other… those first moments when they’re alone after they’re pronounced husband and wife. It is a moment of sheer hope, joy, excitement, and just plain LOVE. I love sharing such a special day with my clients. And seriously… my clients are the absolute best. I love going to work knowing that my clients are happy to be there, excited to see each other, and glad to see me
. Then after the weddings are all said and done, it’s awesome that most of my clients have grown to see me as part of their family.
Seriously guys… you rock!!! (come on… admit it… you guys woooove me too! LOL!) – my clients amaze me sometimes… they’re so sweet and loving.
So this year, since I have this nifty little blog… I decided to do a global ”LOVE YOU GUYS” - to all of my clients/friends from this past year, and to all the amazing couples that I’m looking forward to meet this year. I love you guys… thank you for being so awesome, for letting me share in such special moments in your lives, and for rocking it out in front of my humble lens! I hope your lives are filled with love and happiness – and I hope that when you guys see your wedding albums, you guys get taken back to those special moments that you guys had together on your wedding day!
You guys make my heart smile!!!

Back in November I had the honor of photographing Tom and May’s wedding, and I kept meaning to blog it (but we all know how I am with this whole blogging thing! LOL!). I definitely don’t want to put it off any longer. I absolutely LOVED working with Tom and May – seriously one of my favorite couples EVER!!! I did their engagement session back a few months ago (remember their amazing smiles!?!? –
Click here to refresh your memory). I knew then that they would be awesome on their wedding day! They are so fun, so happy, so in love – and best of all: they put their complete trust in me!! Seriously … that is one of the key ingredients to amazing wedding photography – absolutely trust your wedding photographer. Afterall, you did hire them for a reason… so trust in their creativity and in their talent!
Tom and May had an absolutely amazing wedding… the ceremony was beautiful (of course
… but their reception was absolutely STUNNING! They chose to have their reception at The Vineyards in Simi Valley - which has amazing views!!! Tom and May did a fantastic job with the receptin decor… absolutely stunning – from the lighting to the linens… everything was stunning!!
Ceremony: Saint Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church
Reception: The Vineyards in Simi Valley, CA
A big THANK YOU to Elizabeth… who was my awesome second shooter for this wedding… thank you Elizabeth! You did great!!

Getting Ready at the Church - May... you are seriously stunning!!!

Ceremony took place at the beautiful St. Bellarmine church in Burbank California
We took SOOO many pictures of the beautiful couple at The Vineyards! I have never had so many bride and groom portraits to go through! It took me hours to narrow it down to my favorite 100!!! – which reminds me… the more time you have for your bride and groom pictures… the better! We had close to an hour alone with Tom and May. I realize that this can be difficult (if not nearly impossible) to accomodate in some cases… but if you can have more than 20 minutes of you guys by your selves… you will have amazing images to treasure for a lifetime!!!

Check out this amazing wedding Reception decor!!!! – did Tom and May rock it out or what?!?!?!

LOVE the blue lighting!!!
