Los Angeles Arboretum Wedding – Alcira + Jose

I first met Alcira and Jose several months ago, when their fabulous wedding planner (and a friend of mine) Jenny from At your Door Events - asked me to meet with them. My first impression of them was how sweet and quiet they both were. I realized quickly that Jose adores Alcira, and he would go along with whatever she asked for… which I knew would translate into fabulous romantic images. But I also realized quickly that Alcira LOVED fabulous photography… which of course would translate into FABULOUSLY ROMANTIC images! lol! If you follow my blog, you might remember their fabulous Santa Monica Engagement session - where they totallyl rocked it!!!

When I drove up to the Los Angeles Arboretum on a Thursday afternoon, I thought it would be a small and very casual afair (with less than 30 guests!!!) – and I loved that!!! I mean, what other kind of wedding could it be on a Thursday afternoon?!?! Well… it could be an absolutely FABULOUS and STUNNING afair… that’s what it could be!!!!! and that’s exactly what it was!! Jenny serioulsy blew this wedding out of the water when it came to the design!!!!!

The colors, the flowers, the textures…. it was all absolutely delicious eye-candy!!!! EVERYWHERE!!! And… of course, the L.A. Arboretum could not have been the most perfect location for this magical day!

As I walked up to the Arboretum that day… I saw Alcira and her fabulous-ness absolutely blew me away… the birdcage veil, her fabulous shoes, her stunning makeup… and her fabulous dress!!! And Jose… looking all dashing!!! AND (yes… there’s a big ‘AND’) – Alcira and Jose put so much emphasis on fabulous photography, that they saw each other before the ceremony so that we could walk around by ourselves AND we had even more time after the ceremony!!!! oh… oh… oh… and they absolutely trusted me!!! Can I just say photographer’s heaven!!! LOL!!!

We had so much fun… and I took sooooo many fabulous images… so you know this is about to become an absolutely LONG post of eye-candy… so just get yourself some yummy chocolate, sit back, and enjoy

Santa Monica Pier Engagement Session – Alcira + Jose

When I first met Alcira and Jose I knew two things right away…. I knew they were super sweet and I knew they were super shy. So when Alcira picked the Santa Monica Pier as her engagement session location, I just knew that she would be willing to have some fun! I love the Pier… so many colors, so many lights, so many people!!!

Alcira was a little camera shy at first – but what I absolutely loved about her is that she totally trusted me and WANTED to have fun. She didn’t even mind laying down ON the sand!!! Now that was a first for me!!! most girls are like ’sand… in my hair… no way!’. So she gets super gold points for suggesting that! (yeah… not my idea… how awesome is that?!?!). Jose mentioned to me that Alcira had been looking over my blog and was getting herself ready for what to expect – I LOVE that!!! I love that they both went into the session with completely open minds and open hearts… even if they felt a little shy at first.

Of course…notice how as the sun went down, they suddenly came out of their shell!?!?! LOL!!! Can we say FABULOUS!!!!!! We definitely had some fun with the fabulous lights of the pier… those were definitely my favorite pictures of all! not only because of the fab lights… but because I knew Alcira and Jose had totally gotten into it! haha!

Love you guys!!! I can’t wait for your wedding!!!

Griffith Park and Union Station Engagement Session – Stephanie + Louis

I was so excited when I met Stephanie for the first time… from that very first moment I knew she was all about style, all about glamour, and all about fabulousness – my type of gal!!! LOL!! Her wedding will seriously be AH-MAZING!!! No joke!!! I didn’t get a chance to meet Louis during our first consult, but how could he NOT have style with such a fab girl by his side… lol!

Stephanie was envisioning an old-hollywood glamour feel for her engagement session – but filled with that ultra-hip modern feel. So she chose to go to the Griffith Park Observatory and then to the Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles… just to get 2 different looks for the day. I loved how she decided to go all dressed up for the session… ultra-fab!!!!

Everyone knows I love getting to know my clients… I love getting to know what makes them laugh, what makes them blush, and what makes them love. Every engagement session is totally different for me… some are sweet, others are sleek, others are romantic – it all depends on the fabulous couple and their personalities. Stephanie and Louis are such an ultra modern couple… and ultra sleek. Stephanie thought Louis would be a little shy in front of the camera, but Louis was such a pro – he embodied GQ style! lol!! Both of them rocked it!!!

Thank you guys for sharing those moments with me… I know we’re going to have a blast on your wedding day next year in Camarillo!!! I can’t wait!!!

Seriously everyone … can everyone just take a quick second to recognize this being my 3rd post in 2 days!!! seriously. wow. Haha!

In all honesty – I’ve been so swamped with processing images and designing albums for so many weeks now that I took the day off today to catch up on my blogging and facebook-ing… just to change it up a bit! LOL! Oh… if you haven’t checked out my facebook page - check it out… I usually post things there before I blog them (just cuz it’s easier and faster to post images there – blogging takes me a LONG time to get the darn post ready! lol!). Super Fun Engagement Session at the Kyoto Grand Hotel in Downtown L.A.

Last week I had the pleasure of shooting one of the most fun engagement sessions I have ever done! I loved working with Tom and May… they were such an incredibly fun and outgoing couple! They seriously made each other laugh literally the entire time… they even had me almost rolling on the ground too! I love couples that enjoy each other so much that they helped each other forget how nervous they were to take pictures. We did their engagement session at the Kyoto Grand Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles… at their Japanese Gardens. I had a blast shooting their session, I can not wait for their wedding in Nov.!!!!!
