Angeles National Golf Club Wedding – Malia & Erick

Malia and Erick have a love that feels like the kind of love that has been around for a lifetime… a love that is gentle and wise. Erick has this quiet yet incredibly strong love for Malia – I could see it from the moment I met them. They’re both so sweet and so at ease with each other… it’s just adorable. Malia was so relaxed on her wedding day… she was determined to have a fun and stress free wedding – one that she could enjoy and remember forever.

They celebrated their love surrounded by their beautiful family at Angeles National Golf Club.

Adela & William – Diamond Bar Center Wedding

Adela & William are a fun, romantic, and passionate couple … they’re full of life and love for each other. From the day that I shot their engagement session, I knew that they would be very passionate and affectionate … and I lved that about them. I love seeing that raw passion and love between my clients – the way that William looked at Adela when she smiled was just so beautiful!!! You could tell that all they wanted to do was make each other happy – and that’s what love is all about – making each other happy!!!

Adela got ready at the stunning Millenium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. Their beautiful and traditional Catholic Ceremony took place at the gorgeous St. Vincent De Paul in Los Angeles – a stunning and breathtaking church!!! And their reception took place at the Diamond Bar Center.

Los Angeles Arboretum Wedding – Alcira + Jose

I first met Alcira and Jose several months ago, when their fabulous wedding planner (and a friend of mine) Jenny from At your Door Events - asked me to meet with them. My first impression of them was how sweet and quiet they both were. I realized quickly that Jose adores Alcira, and he would go along with whatever she asked for… which I knew would translate into fabulous romantic images. But I also realized quickly that Alcira LOVED fabulous photography… which of course would translate into FABULOUSLY ROMANTIC images! lol! If you follow my blog, you might remember their fabulous Santa Monica Engagement session - where they totallyl rocked it!!!

When I drove up to the Los Angeles Arboretum on a Thursday afternoon, I thought it would be a small and very casual afair (with less than 30 guests!!!) – and I loved that!!! I mean, what other kind of wedding could it be on a Thursday afternoon?!?! Well… it could be an absolutely FABULOUS and STUNNING afair… that’s what it could be!!!!! and that’s exactly what it was!! Jenny serioulsy blew this wedding out of the water when it came to the design!!!!!

The colors, the flowers, the textures…. it was all absolutely delicious eye-candy!!!! EVERYWHERE!!! And… of course, the L.A. Arboretum could not have been the most perfect location for this magical day!

As I walked up to the Arboretum that day… I saw Alcira and her fabulous-ness absolutely blew me away… the birdcage veil, her fabulous shoes, her stunning makeup… and her fabulous dress!!! And Jose… looking all dashing!!! AND (yes… there’s a big ‘AND’) – Alcira and Jose put so much emphasis on fabulous photography, that they saw each other before the ceremony so that we could walk around by ourselves AND we had even more time after the ceremony!!!! oh… oh… oh… and they absolutely trusted me!!! Can I just say photographer’s heaven!!! LOL!!!

We had so much fun… and I took sooooo many fabulous images… so you know this is about to become an absolutely LONG post of eye-candy… so just get yourself some yummy chocolate, sit back, and enjoy

Pomona Train Station + Reche Canyon Engagement – Shavonne + Ron

I have always loved getting to know new people, sharing in their moments, and capturing amazing memories for them. I photograph all sorts of couples - I have couples that are shy… energetic… sweet… sophisticated… funny…. giggly… AND ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. Whenever I meet a couple that is just dripping with fabuliscious style I feel like I’m in photographer’s heaven!!! A few weeks ago I had a blast photographing one of the most stylish little families that I have ever encountered! Meet Shavonne, Ron, and their fabulous little boy…. OMG I love them!!!

Shavonne and I discussed the locations in depth.. she really wanted something that reflected how funky and stylish they really are. So after much deliberation, we settled on starting off at the Pomona Train Station for some sophisticated looks, then off to Reche Canyon for a more soft and romantic feel. Seriously… this shoot was all about STYLE. FLARE. FUNK. I mean Shavonne coordinated the wardrobe flawlessly – you rock, girl!!!!

What I absolutely loved about them was how much trust they had in me. I always tell my potential clients – you absolutely HAVE to trust your photographer. Trust that they know what their doing… trust their creativity… trust their vision (and make sure that vision is in line with your own vision, of course). If you trust them, and you guys collaborate - you’re bound to capture some magic!!! And that’s exactly what happened with Shavonne and Ron – they never questioned what I suggested AT ALL. Even when I asked them to go into those fields that might have had some snakes or critters… hahaha!!!!

Shavonne and Ron – you guys are such a fabulous couple!!! Thank you guys for having so much fun with me and allowing me to capture the essence of your stylish family!!!

Malibu Engagement Session – Shannon + Ezekiel

I know… I know… once again I’ve totally slacked off with the blogging thing. I know. But if you guys would have seen what my calendar looked like in June… you wouldn’t blame me. Seriously. My calendar looked like it had chicken pox for the month of June… I can’t even count how many consultations, appointments, engagements, weddings I did all together!!! I really, seriously, deserve a break! lol!! Unfortunately, with wedding season in full swing – that much needed break will just have to wait. haha!

So I need to catch up seriously… I know.

Slowly, but surely, I’ll catch up… for now – let me share a fabulous engagement session I had.

I actually did Ezekiel’s brother’s wedding back a couple of years ago (LOVED Yvette and Kabir… thank you guys for being so awesome!!!) – so when Shannon and Ezekiel called me, I was beyond excited to see their beautiful family again!!! I can NOT wait for their fabulous wedding – THIS WEEKEND!!! (that’s how behind I am… lol!!).

Shannon and Ezekiel chose a fabulous section of Malibu beach – it was actuall where they got engaged!!! yes… let’s all do an ‘awwwww’ together (I know I sure did!!!). We talked, we laughed, we got to know each other, and we captured some beautiful images! … oh.. then we had a fabulous (and extremely delicious dinner!!! – thanks guys… you guys are soooo amazing!!!).

Seriously… check out this fabulous section of Malibu – we had so many backgrounds when we started walking around… I love it!!!

Hartley’s Botanica Engagement Session – Amanda + Jake

I had been looking forward to last weekend’s engagement session with a slight bit of anxiety and quite a lot of excitement for quite some time. From the moment Amanda contacted me to be her wedding photographer I knew she was one of the warmest and sweetest people in the UNIVERSE. Seriously. Becaue I personally know everyone in the world! LOL! Amanda was excited about her wedding, about her love for Jake, and about my photography – how awesome is she?!?! So why was I a little nervous?… I had never met her in person before! … As it turned out, I had nothing to worry about – Amanda and Jake are the type of people that just make you feel welcome… I am sooo honored to be a part of their lives!!!!

There are a few things that anyone can tell you when you see them together – they’re happy, they’re fun, they’re totally and completely in LOVE, and yes… Jake is just a tad taller than Amanda . They are so incredibly cute together!

We shared this time together walking around the beautiful grounds of the Hartley’s Botanica in Somis then we took a short little drive to where their actual wedding will be in July.
